Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Well being and Human Companies of the Federal Authorities of Somalia, Dr. Ali Haji Adam, delivered opening remarks at a digital Excessive-Stage Assembly on Tobacco and Nicotine Merchandise Taxes.
He emphasised the significance of addressing tobacco use and its influence on public well being and highlighted the effectiveness of taxation in lowering its prevalence.
Dr. Adam shared that Somalia’s Ministry of Well being has submitted a Tobacco Management Invoice for approval by the Somali Council of Ministers this week. The invoice represents a big step ahead in lowering tobacco use in Somalia.
He burdened the significance of cooperation and collaboration amongst all stakeholders within the battle towards tobacco use and talked about steps taken by his ministry to deal with it by public consciousness campaigns and initiatives.
