MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Uganda’s military has mentioned it’ll maintain its peacekeepers in Somalia following an assault by the Al-Qaeda-aligned militant group Al-Shabaab that left dozens of troopers lifeless final month.
Talking to VOA Somali, a spokesman for Uganda Folks’s Protection Forces (UPDF) Felix Kulayigye mentioned there have been blended reactions from Ugandans after the latest assault on a base housing African Union peacekeepers within the city of Bula Mareer in south Somalia.
Among the Ugandans are calling for pullout of troops whereas others urge retaliatory motion, he mentioned, including that Kampala will maintain its troops in Somalia till the complete African continent is peaceable.
