MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday appointed the previous governor of Hiran area Ali Jayte Osman to the workplace for the coordination of native forces collaborating within the combat in opposition to Al-Shabaab, state media reported.
The appointment comes amid longstanding tensions within the area over the dismissal of Jayte by Hirshabelle authorities and only a few days after regional Vice President Yusuf Ahmed Hagar accused the federal authorities of undermining progress within the area.
