MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Bulgaria is planning to begin negotiations with Somali pirates who’ve lately hijacked the Malta-flagged, Bulgarian-owned bulk service Ruen off the coast of Somalia’s Puntland area, maritime information company Splash 247 reported on Monday.
Bulgarian authorities say they’re prone to begin negotiations with Somali pirates to launch the ship’s crew. The hijacking is the primary documented piracy exercise off Somalia coasts since 2017.
