MOGADISHU, SONNA – In a big victory for Somali safety forces, the Somali Nationwide Military (SNA) and Galmudug state troops regained management of a number of key areas in southern Mudug area early this morning after al-Shabaab militants deserted their positions.
Authorities officers confirmed to the SONNA that the reclaimed areas embrace the cities of Dhagahdher and Dahar-Ali Khaylow, strategic areas beforehand occupied by the al-Shabaab. This profitable operation marks an important step within the ongoing efforts to liberate areas utilized by al-Shabaab as hideouts and launching pads for assaults.
