MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – America on Wednesday expressed concern about escalating tensions within the Horn of Africa over a latest pact Ethiopia signed with Somaliland, which grants Addis Ababa entry to a 20 kilometer leased land alongside the Crimson Sea.
“We be part of different companions in expressing our critical concern as effectively in regards to the ensuing spike in tensions within the Horn of Africa,” US State Division spokesman Matthew Miller advised reporters.
“We urge all stakeholders to interact in diplomatic dialogue and the US acknowledges the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia inside its 1960 borders.”
