MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s authorities stated on Thursday there isn’t any room for mediation with Ethiopia until Addis Ababa cancelled a memorandum of understanding with Somaliland that offers it entry to a leased land alongside the Purple Sea.
“There isn’t any house for mediation until Ethiopia retracts its unlawful MOU and reaffirms the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia,” Somali International Ministry stated in a press release.
It got here a day after studies emerged that Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had declined to satisfy with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed amid simmering tensions over the controversial sea entry deal.
