Chilly rain and some flakes
Most see chilly rain for Sunday morning. A couple of flakes may combine in at occasions.
SO SOME GOOD NEWS THERE ALL RIGHT. 543 AND TAKING A LOOK AT OUR WEATHER, NOT MUCH GOOD NEWS TO REPORT OTHER THAN IT’S NOT REALLY COLD ENOUGH TO SNOW. SO MAYBE JUST A FEW FLURRIES AS OPPOSED TO THAT WINTRY MIX THAT WE HAD BEEN TALKING ABOUT. YEAH. YOU KNOW, I THINK SOME FOLKS IN THE AREA WILL SEE OR AT LEAST THE REGION WILL SEE, THAT WINTRY MIX, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE MOSTLY COLD RAIN HERE IN CINCINNATI. SO, UH, YOU KNOW, ROADS ARE GOING TO BE WET. THAT IS A POSITIVE. WE’RE NOT GOING TO BE LOOKING AT ANY KIND OF ICY TRAVEL TODAY. OUR RADAR IS GOING TO SHOW THAT RAIN ACROSS. GREATER CINCINNATI. IT’S DRIFTING OFF TO THE WEST SO THAT LOW SPINNING OVERHEAD COUNTERCLOCK WISE DIRECTION THERE THROUGH HAMILTON COUNTY, WE HAVE SOME HEAVIER BANDS OF SHOWERS. IT’S GOING TO BE UP FROM 2.75 AND 74 AREA THROUGH COAL RAIN AND THEN THE NORTH SIDE OF 275 AS YOU HEAD UP INTO FOREST PARK. LIGHTER RAIN AS YOU GO SOUTH TOWARDS DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI, SEEING SOME SPRINKLES RIGHT NOW. FAYETTE UNION COUNTY. MORE SIGNIFICANT RAIN HERE ACROSS UNION COUNTY. WE’RE LOOKING AT SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN, ESPECIALLY AROUND LIBERTY BLOOMING GROVE. ALSO SEEING SOME DOWNPOURS THIS MORNING. AND THEN HERE IN SOUTHERN BUTLER COUNTY AROUND FAIRFIELD AND ROSS, WE HAVE SOME STEADIER SHOWERS AND ALONG 7171 CORRIDOR, MOSTLY RAIN HERE, LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL AS WE START OUT THE DAY BACK TO THE WEST. LIGHT RAIN ACROSS RIPLEY AND DEARBORN COUNTY AND EVEN INTO WESTERN OHIO AND SWITZERLAND COUNTIES. SO THIS LOW CONTINUES TO DRIFT THROUGH THE AREA. YOU CAN SEE EXTENSIVE RAINFALL, A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW MIXING IN ON THE NORTH SIDE AS THIS COLD AIR TRIES TO WRAP IN HERE. I THINK THIS SNOW, AT LEAST THAT WINTRY MIX WILL COME A LITTLE BIT FURTHER SOUTH, AND THAT WOULD PUT AT LEAST SOME AREAS IN THE REGION CLOSER TO CINCINNATI AND POTENTIAL FOR SOME KIND OF A WET MIX. I THINK MOSTLY RAIN HERE AND DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI. WE ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING DRIER FOR MOST FOLKS BY THIS AFTERNOON. MOST OF THE DAYTIME CHILLY AND BREEZY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 30S. I’LL SHOW YOU RIGHT HERE. FUTURECAST A PRETTY AGGRESSIVE WITH THE WINTRY MIX. ACTUALLY MORE AGGRESSIVE MODEL THAN I’VE SEEN THIS MORNING. MOST HAVE THIS LITTLE FURTHER NORTH TOWARDS I-70, SO I THINK THAT’S WHERE A LOT OF THIS IS GOING TO BE TODAY. DAYTON, THE I-70 AREA, THAT WINTRY MIX. MIGHT HAVE A FEW FLAKES MIXING IN A LITTLE FURTHER SOUTH, BUT I DON’T THINK IT’S GOING TO BE FULL ON WET SNOW LIKE FUTURECAST IS. SUGGESTING HERE AT 9:00. SO WE’RE GOING TO CALL IT PLAIN OLD COLD RAIN POTENTIAL FOR WINTRY MIX A LITTLE FURTHER NORTH OUTSIDE THE WLWT VIEWING AREA. BUT NOTICE BETWEEN 12 AND 3 WE’RE GOING TO START TO LESSEN THE SHOWER COVERAGE OVERALL. GOING TO BE LEFT WITH MOSTLY DRY SKIES. MAYBE A PASSING SHOWER THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING, BUT MOSTLY DRY SKIES AND SOME CLOUD COVER FOR A LOT OF US AS WE HEAD THROUGH THIS EVENING. A COUPLE OF FLURRIES POSSIBLE TONIGHT AS TEMPERATURES FALL BACK TO THE LOW 30S. SKIES WILL BE CLOUDY AND IT STAYS BREEZY WITH WIND CHILLS IN THE 20S TONIGHT. THEN FOR TOMORROW, ABOUT 39 FOR THE HIGH CLOUDY STRAY FLURRY, ESPECIALLY EARLY AND AGAIN STILL COLD. OHIO RIVER REMAINS IN ACTION. STATE IT WILL BE THE CASE THROUGH THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEK. I THINK AT CREST AT ABOUT 45, MAYBE 46FT. BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. SO A LITTLE BIT LESS THAN WHAT WE WERE ORIGINALLY ANTICIPATING. BUT THAT’S GOING TO PUT WATER AROUND THE STAGE AREA OF THE PNC PAVILION. SO ALL THE RAIN RECENTLY, WE’VE HAD A LOT OF RAIN REALLY HELPED PUSH THAT OHIO RIVER INTO ACTION STAGE. AND THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK, RAIN AND SNOW LOOKING DRIER THAN AVERAGE AROUND HERE, SO YOU CAN SEE DRIER PATTERN SETTING UP ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES REGION. AND IN THE MIDWEST, TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN MILD, THOUGH WE’RE LOOKING AT A MUCH WARMER TREND HERE. UH, SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN AVERAGE FOR MOST DAYS AS WE HEAD INTO THE LATE WEEK, ESPECIALLY. SO NEXT 6 TO 10 DAYS HERE. UH, CERTAINLY LOOKING QUITE MILD. SEVEN DAY FORECAST HERE OVER THE NEXT FEW IS GOING TO BRING TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 30S TO UPPER 40S TO SEE IS GOING TO BE OUR NEXT WEATHER IMPACT DAY. RIGHT NOW WE’RE LOOKING AT SOME SCATTERED RAIN THAT’S GOING TO START IN THE LATE MORNING, AT LEAST RIGHT NOW. BUT JUST THIS MORNING, EVEN LATE LAST NIGHT, MODELS STARTING TO TREND A LITTLE BIT COOLER. SO WHAT THAT MEANS FOR US COULD POTENTIALLY SEE A WINTRY MIX, UH, IMPACTING THE AREA AS WE GO INTO TUESDAY. WE’LL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON HOW THAT CHANGE HAS TO HAVE JUST A PLAIN OLD RAIN IN RIGHT NOW. YOU CAN SEE MILD TEMPS IN FOR THURSDAY. FRIDAY I THINK WE’RE GOING TO BE IN THE UPPER 40S TO LOWER 50S. BOTH DAYS. BOTH DAYS MOSTLY DRY. IT DOES LOOK A LITTLE BIT COOLER BEHIND A POTENTIAL FRI
