MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – There isn’t any room for mediation talks between Somalia and Ethiopia until the latter retracted its controversial memorandum of understanding with Somaliland that grants Addis Ababa entry to a leased land alongside the Crimson Sea, the director of communications on the workplace of Somali President Abdulkadir Ali Dige stated on Sunday.
It comes days after studies emerged that Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud can be assembly Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Italy for talks facilitated by Rome to finish simmering tensions between the neighboring international locations. Learn Extra
Ethiopian authorities have earlier defended their sea entry take care of Somaliland whereas Mogadishu continues to explain it as an infringement on its independence, unity and territorial integrity.
Each leaders are in Rome for Italy’s summit with African international locations.
