MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s parliament on Saturday endorsed the Horn of Africa nation’s entry into the East African Neighborhood, months after Mogadishu had been admitted into the regional financial bloc.
Somalia’s membership of the EAC has turn out to be official after MPs unanimously ratified the entry into the bloc.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had signed the treaty of accession with the EAC in November and the Horn of Africa nation was formally admitted because the 8th member of the of the regional bloc.
