MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The United Arab Emirates mentioned on Sunday the fourth army officer died from accidents sustained in an Al-Shabaab-claimed assault on a army academy in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Saturday.
The UAE recognized officers killed within the assault as Colonel Mohamed Al Mansouri, Mohamed Al Shamsi, Khalifa Al Balushi and Suleiman Al Shehhi.
A airplane carrying the our bodies of the Emirati army officers landed at an airport in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
America, Djibouti and Qatar condemned the assault claimed by Al-Shabaab insurgents. The insurgent group mentioned it had killed at the least 17 officers, together with Abu Dhabi’s highest-ranking army official in south Somalia.
