MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Al-Shabaab siege at an upscale lodge close to the presidential palace in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu ended on Friday after 15-hour gun battle, state TV reported.
Militants used automobile bombs to blast their means into SYL Resort, a stone’s throw from the presidential complicated, on Thursday night and barricaded themselves contained in the compound, triggering a gunfight with safety forces deployed to finish the siege that lasted for greater than 15 hours.
