MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Authorities within the northeastern semi-autonomous area of Puntland on Tuesday rejected an invite to attend a gathering referred to as by Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Caasimada On-line information web site reported.
Regional Minister of Data Mohamud Aydid Dirir mentioned, in an interview with Shabelle TV, that Puntland President Saeed Abdullahi Deni won’t take part within the upcoming assembly till Somali federal management restores the overhauled structure.
“If the structure was overhauled, the time period of the outgoing authorities of the nation expired, and as such, we don’t acknowledge it as a authorities,” he added.
The assembly set to kick off in Mogadishu on April 20 will deliver collectively members of the Nationwide Consultative Council, together with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, state presidents and the mayor of Mogadishu.
As outlined by Villa Somalia, the battle towards Al-Shabaab and ongoing controversial modifications within the structure shall be among the many points to be mentioned within the convention.
