MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – US army on Tuesday denied that it had carried out an airstrike in Al Madow space close to the industrial port metropolis of Bosaso in northeastern Somalia’s Puntland area, days after Somali authorities claimed that its worldwide companions had carried out an air raid within the space.
Officers with US army’s Africa Command instructed VOA that they weren’t concerned in any operation carried out in collaboration with Somali authorities in Puntland, dismissing claims by the Somali Ministry of Data.
In a press release issued on Could 26, Somali Ministry of Data asserted that the federal government and its worldwide companions had killed at the least 20 Al-Shabaab militants in a mountainous space close to Bosaso following a joint army operation.
Authorities within the semi-autonomous area of Puntland dismissed the declare as “groundless”, saying that the federal authorities has no troops current within the space and capabilities to conduct air raids.
