MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Thursday inspected the Turkish oil exploration vessel Oruc Reis, which has accomplished months-long seismic research and oil exploration efforts off Somalia’s coast.
“H.E. President @HassanSMohamud inspected the Oruc Reis Analysis Vessel upon the profitable completion of offshore seismic surveys off the coast of Somalia,” Villa Somalia stated in a press release.
“Aboard the vessel, the President lauded the achievement as a important step within the authorities’s ongoing efforts to unlock Somalia’s useful resource potential,” it added.
Talking after the inspection, President Mohamud stated: “This achievement reinforces our aim of enabling Somalia to completely profit from its pure assets and rework them into financial alternatives and social growth. The Authorities and other people of Türkiye have at all times led initiatives that display Somalia is a viable vacation spot for funding.”
