Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Data, Tradition, and Tourism of the Federal Authorities of Somalia, H.E. Daud Aweis Jamac, met at this time with Mr. Lionel Laurens, the United Nations Improvement Programme (UNDP) Consultant in Somalia, on the ministry’s headquarters.
The assembly centered on strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Data and UNDP, significantly on improvement tasks associated to media capability constructing, public consciousness, peacebuilding, countering terrorism, and selling Somali tradition and tourism. Each side additionally emphasised increasing packages that help unbiased media, civic engagement, and the position of media in advancing social improvement and peace.
The Minister thanked UNDP for its ongoing help for Somalia’s improvement initiatives, highlighting efforts to reinforce media capability and reinforce authorities establishments.
The assembly was attended by UNDP Deputy Director for Inclusive Politics, Mr. Maxamed Hadi, and Helene Apollis, Head of the Bilan Media Strengthening Mission, whereas the Somali facet included the Director of Media Technique, Director of Tradition, and Director of Federal-State Relations.
