Monitoring showers and storms throughout Cincinnati earlier than temperature drop
BUT OVERALL IT SHOULDN’T BE A MAJOR IMPACT TO YOUR WEEKEND PLANS OUT THERE. RIGHT NOW, IT’S ALL DRY. FEW SPRINKLES POSSIBLE. MOVING INTO PARTS OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY. BUT YOU SEE AS IT’S MOVING CLOSER TO THAT RADAR SITE, IT’S KIND OF FADING AWAY THERE. SO I BELIEVE IT’S JUST LOOKING A LITTLE HIGHER UP IN THE SKY SINCE IT’S FURTHER AWAY. EITHER WAY, WE DO HAVE THAT MAIN COLD FRONT THAT IS EXPECTED TO MOVE IN HERE AS WE GO LATER ON INTO THIS MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. SO YOU SEE A FEW SHOWERS, KIND OF THUNDERSTORMS ON THE FRONT LINE. BUT THE FACT THAT WE SEE ONLY A FEW IS A GOOD INDICATION THAT WE’RE NOT REALLY EXPECTING TOO MANY STRONG STORMS OUT OF THE SYSTEM, BUT THIS COLD FRONT IS GOING TO BE MOVING IN BY LATER ON TODAY. AS I MENTIONED, THAT SEVERE THREAT IS VERY MUCH ON THE LOW END. IN FACT, FROM YESTERDAY INTO TODAY, THEY’VE EVEN SHIFTED IT A LITTLE BIT MORE TO THE EAST. SO FOR OUR AREA, WHAT USED TO BE UNDER KIND OF THAT SLIGHT RISK AREA IS NOW ONLY UNDER THAT MARGINAL RISK LEVEL ONE OUT OF FIVE FOR BASICALLY I-71 JUST EAST OF IT, AND THEN MORE EAST IN THROUGH PARTS OF BROWN, ADAMS COUNTY, NORTHEAST KENTUCKY. SO AGAIN, A VERY LOW END SEVERE THREAT, STILL A POSSIBILITY IF WE WERE TO SEE ANYTHING, IT WOULD BE A VERY ISOLATED, STRONG WIND GUST OUT OF POTENTIAL STORM. BUT THAT SEVERE THREAT VERY MUCH LOW. SO OUR MAIN IMPACTS REALLY THROUGH THIS MORNING A LITTLE BIT MORE WIDESPREAD SHOWER ACTIVITY BY THIS AFTERNOON EVEN INTO TONIGHT IT’S GOING TO BE TURNING MUCH MORE SCATTERED TO WHERE WE ACTUALLY HAVE SOME BREAKS IN THE FORECAST. SO HERE WE GO INTO FUTURECAST. WE GET AN HOUR OR TWO PAST SUNRISE, 830, ALMOST 9:00. WE’LL START TO SEE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS MOVING IN THROUGH OUR EAST OR WEST, MOVING TO THE EAST. AND THEN THAT BECOMES A LITTLE BIT MORE WIDESPREAD THROUGH THE MORNING. AND THEN BY THE AFTERNOON, THE MAIN FRONT MOVING A LITTLE BIT MORE TO THE EAST. NOW, WHILE WE DO SEE SOME BREAKS IN THE AFTERNOON, WE’LL STILL HOLD ON TO THAT SCATTERED THREAT THROUGH THIS EVENING, EVEN INTO TONIGHT. SO WE GET CLOSER TO SUNSET, JUST PAST SUNSET, AND WE’LL HAVE A FEW OF THOSE SCATTERED SHOWERS MOVE IN. AND THEN BY LATE TONIGHT, TEN, 11:00, MOST OF THAT RAIN IS NOW MOVING OUT TO OUR EAST, AND WE’RE GOING TO BE DRYING OUT AS WE THEN GO INTO SUNDAY. BUT TEMPERATURES GOING TO BE COOLING DOWN. SO OUR HIGHS BASICALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW, WE’RE KIND OF LEVELING OFF HERE IN THE UPPER 60S THIS MORNING INTO LATER THIS MORNING. ONCE THAT COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THOUGH, WE’RE GOING TO BE QUICKLY DROPPING THROUGH THE MID 60S INTO THE 50S LATER ON THIS EVENING. AND IF YOU’RE HEADING TO THE TCL FOR THE FC CINCINNATI MATCH AGAINST CHICAGO LATER ON THIS EVENING, MARCH TO THE MAX SHOULD BE IN THE MID 50S BY FULL TIME. WILL ALREADY BE DOWN INTO THE LOWER 50S, 40 SHOWING UP INTO THE OVERNIGHT. AND THEN SUNDAY, ANOTHER DAY OF KINGS ISLAND HERE. IT’S PROBABLY GOING TO BE THE BETTER OF THE DAYS THIS WEEKEND, 11 A.M. OPEN SHOULD BE RIGHT AROUND 50 DEGREES LOWER 60S IN THE AFTERNOON, SO STAYING ACTUALLY A LITTLE BELOW AVERAGE, BUT STILL A COMFORTABLE FEEL OUT THERE, ESPECIALLY WITH THE SUNSHINE. BREEZY WINDS MONDAY AND TUESDAY, THOUGH WE’LL HAVE TO WATCH F
